With the passing weekend trip, Simon and Kelvin are now awarded with their overdue Sports Diver qualifications, after completing their CBL and surface tow donning twinset gear! Congratulations!

They also had good practice on their advanced nitrox skills, emerging with wide smiles from the Seven Skies wreck, looking keen for the next wreck trip!

Continuing with our technical qualifications in May are 3 Trimix and 2 Advanced Nitrox candidates.

Yih Gia, Say Choon and Max obtained their Trimix qualifications with Jack Ingle aboard the Mata Ikan; Simon and Kelvin obtained their Advanced Nitrox under our club instruction on the Black Manta.

Hone your skills further.. and watch out for the tech trip coming up later this year!

With the past weekend, we now have 4 newly qualified Advanced Nitrox and ERD divers in the club!

While I believe course completion marks the start of improving one's skills and experience, I am certain that I see both high levels of enthusiasm and competence. (don't stop there though - keep learning and improving!)

Many many thanks to CP for teaching, Dave for helping CP, Winni for organising and running all around the island, Grace for handling the $$, and everyone for making the trip fun.

Asia Dive Expo 2009 (ADEX) will be held in conjunction with Boat Asia 2009. Both events will be held from 23 to 26 April, 2009 at the world-class Marina at Keppel Bay.

Single day pass is $10, 4 day pass $20.

TRIPS
13-15 Jun - Tioman Trip w Tanglin - destination changed to Pulau Aur. (A few of us from Blue Barracuda and Tanglin are going to do practice dives off the platform at Divers Lodge, Pulau Aur. Leisure divers welcome to join as a shop organised trip)
4-6 Jul - OQ Trip - Likely to be canceled due to club training trip 2 weeks later.
*18-20 Jul - Tioman Trip + OD Training (tentative - depending on student schedules)
*18-20 Jul - Dayang Trip w Tanglin (tentative)
Dec - A trip is being planned to the majestic Raja Ampat islands.
